The American Dilemma and How We Can Fix It

Little Boxes

Malvina Reynolds was a social critic and anti-war activist.  Her song “Little Boxes” speaks to the potential society has to “sterilize” it’s citizens into neat little molds.  The song was made popular by Pete Seeger.

Another of her songs , “What Have They Done to the Rain” speaks of the aftermath of nuclear fallout.

For those who are unfamiliar with her work here is an opportunity to take a quick step back half a century – and realize that the names of the players may be different – but it’s still, “The Same Old Song.”
